The developer paid for archaeological supervision of 5 trial borings at this site. The top 3-4m comprises modern building rubble. The underlying 0.8m-2m was a medieval dump layer which contained animal bone, shells, scraps of leather and wood chips. One sherd of local medieval pottery was found.
