Before cable-laying through the Curragh for Telecom Éireann, a small investigation trench extended across the alignment of the Black Pig's Dyke in a location that had been recently landscaped. The trench was c. 13m long, 0.6m wide and 1m deep. No archaeological features or artefacts were observed.
