Monitoring was carried out at Castle Street, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, in February 2007. The project involves the construction of an extension within the courtyard and the reconstruction of the entrance area together with associated site works and services. The proposed development is on the site of LE032–067(01–02), a castle and quernstones.
The proposed extension will be located within the central courtyard of an existing nursing home with associated works to be carried out at the entranceway and front carpark. Monitoring took place over a period of four days in February 2007. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted.
