Archaeological excavation in advance of the N7 Nenagh to Limerick high-quality dual carriageway road project was carried out here in December 2006.
The site is in the middle of a large field at the brow of a low hill immediately west of the N7 between Limerick and Daly’s Cross. The remains of the circular hearth, first discovered during testing, measured 0.97m in diameter and 0.09m in depth. There were no finds associated with this site.
Editor’s note: Although excavated during 2006, the report on this site arrived too late for inclusion in the bulletin of that year.
