Testing was carried out over the course of one day in waste ground at the rear of a property at The Square in Rathkeale. Three trenches were enacted through the site to reveal that this site has been extensively disturbed in recent times with the deposition of modern refuse. Further monitoring of the site for the location of the houses also found the site to have been extensively disturbed in recent times. Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered during the course of testing and monitoring.
