An assessment took place on 19 May 2008 of the site of a proposed school at Colp West, Co. Meath. The site was located in close proximity to an early medieval cemetery and enclosure (ME021–011) and a probable Bronze Age disturbed fulacht fiadh (ME021–016). A total of eight test-trenches were excavated through the site, which had shallow topsoil overlying natural boulder clay subsoil. It was extensively ploughed and no archaeological finds or features were recorded.
