An 11ha retail warehouse development is proposed for a site on the Athboy Road outside Navan, adjacent to the proposed N3 Navan bypass. Monitoring of topsoil removal began in January 2008 and occurred intermittingly until May 2008.
Topsoil was removed mechanically and varied in depth between 0.1m and 0.3m across the site. No archaeological finds or features were uncovered.
