A total of 37 test-trenches were excavated across two fields and included a number of specifically targeted trenches across anomalies noted during an extensive geophysical survey of the site by Target Archaeological Geophysics (TAG). No archaeological finds or features were recorded in these test-trenches. The anomalies noted during the TAG survey were caused by variations in the underlying geology and not through human activity.
